Pressure Transmitter
The pressure sensor used is a Silicon Piezoresistive sensor. Piezoresistive material changes its resistance when pressure is applied, which is used to measure pressure. The sensor package consists of a stainless steel diaphragm, a silicon pressure die, and silicon oil for filling. Pressure exerted on the diaphragm is transferred via silicon oil to the sensor. The change in resistance is amplified using an electronic circuit to give a signal output proportional to the pressure.
